We can’t speak highly enough of this place. The room was gorgeous, all the people were lovely, the setting was stunning, the food was incredible and the art room was so much fun. On top of our amazing stay, our car broke down on our way out of the hotel and the staff moved heaven and earth to try and help us, packing us up with snacks, ordering tow trucks and even contacting their friend who works for Hyundai. Thank you so much Montaña Magica, we are all home safely now and can’t wait to come back in the future 🤩
This is literally a magical mountain with magnificent views to the Picos & deep wooded valleys. Great hiking & running tracks & a relaxing, comfortable vibe. Lovely, friendly & welcoming family & staff & delicious, hearty dinners. A beautiful & peaceful hideaway in the hills, far from the madding crowd yet close to Llanes, & many local sights & attractions. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location in the mountains. Not directly in the picos but you can start every journey from here. Wonderful service, great view onto every peak around and the rooms are cozy and wonderful. Dinners are worth the money and you don't need to ever leave again
This is a fantastic hotel, with delightful and professional staff, amazing views and excellent cuisine.
We stayed in the apartment 300m down from the main hotel, but it didn't affect our full enjoyment of the resort. In fact the comfort, space and views that the apartment provided made it such a great experience (and the walk up to, and back from, the main hotel for the excellent breakfasts and dinners helped to burn off some of the calories!)
The immediate and wider location of the hotel is sensational, with mountains, beaches, towns and activities all within easy reach.
We would fully recommend this hotel to anyone, and we hope to return before long.

First off, the view and location is breathtaking. Set a top a high hill, you have a spectacular view of a beautiful valley / mountain range. Second, the buildings/rooms are beautiful. Done up in a traditional style with all the modern amenities. Third, the staff are truly first rate: helpful, cheerful and available up to midnight every day (special shout out to Olaf). Fourth, the food. My God the food. Had I known before hand how delicious (and reasonably priced) the dinners were, I would have eaten there every night of my stay. Finally, you are pretty close to both the mountains and the ocean (all within 40mn drive). My only regret is not having apent more time there!
My friend and I stayed at this rural lodge for a week in early September 2022 and loved the whole experience. The most beautiful mountain vistas, the delicious breakfast and dinners, the friendly staff, the great location for daily trips to beaches and mountains, Picos de Europa, Covadonga, and so many other places. I want to go back. Highly recommended!
